DOG TRAINING - PUPPY CLASSES - BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION

Picture

Our New Paperback Is Now Available!

The approach and procedures given here are based on the best available current scientific data, but also upon the experience of the two authors. Between the two of them they have taught thousands of dog obedience classes and have rehabilitated many hundreds of dogs, which had been plagued with emotional and behavioral problems. They both recognize that an important aspect of modifying the behavior of dogs involves knowing something about the dog's mental state, and its emotional responses. It is only in that way that a practical plan of action can be designed. With that information in hand they can truly provide you with a "Blueprint To A Happy Dog".

DOG TRAINERS - GREG CECI & NORMA JEANNE LAURETTE
serving Quinte West, Trenton, Belleville

GREG CECI, IPDTA-CDT

Greg Ceci Dog Aggression and Fear
Greg Ceci likes dogs…Greg likes dogs a lot…some people think maybe too much because he tries to be more like his dogs everyday. Greg thinks that’s a righteous goal.

Before his first dog rescued him, Greg honed his problem solving skills as a Quality Control Troubleshooter/Analyst for a multi award winning manufacturing facility. From there, he went back to school for Business & Marketing.

Greg spent time as a Freelance Creative Writer, Creative Director and Business Development Advisor. He serviced accounts such as RIM, Manulife, Home Depot, Wal Mart, AT&T, Canadian Wind Energy Association and Scotia Bank.

However, one of his real passions was dog training. It quickly became apparent that his ability and love for dogs were only equalled by his love of composing and performing music.

Since 2004 Greg has successfully rehabilitated over 1000 aggressive and fearful dogs through private training, group training, socialization and reactive dog classes. In fact, Greg was often asked to help aggressive dogs that other dog trainers would not work with.

His goal is to educate dog handlers to better understand their dogs in order to forge an amazing dog/human bond based on trust – improving quality of life for dogs and humans alike.

Greg Ceci simply wants everyone with a dog to realize the same bond that he has with his dogs.

NORMA JEANNE LAURETTE, IPDTA-CDT

NJ Dog Aggression, Fear, Behaviour Modification
Norma Jeanne began her studies in the 1980's while touring North America with a professional rock band.  She began private training in 1989 and opened Puppy Power, the first positive dog training facility in Kitchener, Ontario in 1992.  Norma Jeanne has consulted with clients as far away as China, and students have come from all over the world to take her professional dog trainer certification career courses.

Having taught over 7000 classes and rehabilitated hundreds of dogs, and utilizing years of study including over one hundred canine behaviour, aggression, training and animal sciences courses, lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences and symposiums, and with the use of numerous other references, Norma Jeanne created the Canine Correspondence Studies professional dog trainer certification program.  CCS is a 100% positive, punishment-free professional certification dog trainer program using motivational techniques to teach dogs to think for themselves and make correct choices.  Her philosophy is that dogs can learn to problem-solve and choose the desired behaviour in order to affect a pleasant outcome without any use of reprimands.  By making training fun and instilling trust, we can create a well-trained dog with a confident and resilient temperament.  With hundreds of dog trainer students and graduates in thirteen countries, many are now running successful businesses internationally as a result of successful completion of this program.

Realizing his exceptional dog handling/training skills, Norma Jeanne felt compelled to co-create Norma Jeanne's Dog Training / ACTT – Applied Canine Therapy & Training with Greg Ceci, IPDTA-CDT (previously of Puppy Passions) to help dog trainers and guardians solve training, behaviour and aggression issues through a series of manual and video case studies and lecture series, private training and training, socialization and reactive dog classes.

Norma Jeanne is founder and Chair of IPDTA – International Positive Dog Training Association.  She was a columnist and Editor in Chief for CAPPDT (Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers), columnist for Pets & Animals magazine, and has been published in Animal Wellness, Dogster magazine and other publications.  She has lectured at CAPPDT and IPDTA Conferences, Camp Dog Wood – Barrie and Ottawa, Lions Foundation Scent Detector Dogs Oakville, the Montreal Chienposium and many other venues.

Norma Jeanne’s innovative approach to dog training has been featured in newspapers, magazines, newsletters, on television and radio.  Norma Jeanne now lives in the country, in Ontario, Canada with Greg and their amazing rescued dogs.
